What Happened To Milwaukee's Impact Driver?

preview_player
Показать описание
DeWalt Hydraulic, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi One+ HP, Kobalt, Ridgid, Hercules, Greenworks, Metabo HPT, and Craftsman. Impact drivers compared for speed driving in screws, lag bolts and then maximum torque. Impact drivers also compared for noise, vibration, weight, size (length/width), and no load RPM.

I purchased all the impact drivers to ensure an unbiased review. So, thank you for supporting the channel!

Anyone else ever watch this channel and hope that the tools you already own do well?

Just an idea: for the final comparison chart, add in extra columns for universally claimed specs, versus what you tested them at, versus the percentage difference between claimed and tested.

So for this video specifically, claimed torque and tested torque, claimed RPM and tested RPM, as well as percentage difference between claimed vs. tested for those specs

Keep it up Todd! You're an absolute gem and I love your videos and appreciate your hard work!

I'm an active 70 year old DIY guy. I bought the Milwaukee hydraulic a few years ago to rebuild my dock. I have a standard driver, but was concerned about the noise and what the vibration would do to my wrists on such a large project. I was able to try the hydraulic out at a HD demonstration and bought it on the spot. It is really great. I volunteer to build wheelchair ramps and it drives 3" deck screws all day without any issues. The difference between it and the other non-hydraulic brands is very evident. I'm glad to see Dewalt has finally made their own version. Competition can be a good thing. Thanks for another great info-taining video.

Interesting to see the Harbor Freight Hercules legitimately earning a place on the podium of winners. Eric sure seems to be guiding the company in a direction of performance in tools his father never dreamed of. Impressive to be up there with the DeWalt yellow and Milwaukee red, and ahead of Makita. ... that IS an accomplishment.

What i find quite interesting is how some manufacturers LIE about the SPECIFICATIONS, someone really needs to police that sort of thing and fine these companies to market only correct numbers or go out of business. No sense comparing specifications when you cannot do a factual comparison, this is why your channel is so needed for us homeowners to compare all the major brands to see which offer up the most value for the dollar. I’m a Dewalt guy and glad to see them do extremely well, Milwaukee made out fairly well as well they also market a very good product. Makita has passed the peak of its lineage/reputation as my father in law passed down some quality tools to me, they do retain a good quality product albeit not the market leader as they used to be at one time. Keep up the good battle on testing and holding manufacturers accountable. Cheers.

I have an older DeWalt impact driver I bought in a kit about 15 years ago. Don’t remember the particular product number, but it was able to drive four 3/8 x 6 lag bolts to join four 4x4 wooden posts together to make a moving pallet for a 2500# milling machine and four more in each corner of the machine. I DID drill pilot holes before hand however because there’d be no way it’d drive them without doing that first. Got the mill home safely and got it off the trailer with a buddy and his track hoe. Don’t know how my old DeWalt would have fared in the test, but it’s adequate for my infrequent needs.

Project Farm, thank you for everything you do and don’t ever change. You’re truly one of the best channels on the entirety of YouTube. 👍

Thank you Todd for all your work with this channel. I’ve been watching many of your older videos as well as the more recent uploads.

What stands out head and shoulders above the rest, for me, is your intelligent & well thought out testing, your authenticity, and bright, cheerful & lighthearted approach.
Another huge factor is your commitment to “no sponsorship” or click bait thumbnails & titles. The value you bring because of these things has no comparison on YouTube (or anywhere else). You keep the priority of accurate, relevant, concise and reliable information as the themes you never waver from. As such, you place the viewer needs as the front and centre purpose of your video creations. I believe this is why your channel and content is so highly regarded.

I will be following your YouTube journey indefinitely.

Huge thanks and respect from Nottingham, UK
