Broadsword FINALLY Breaks Silence About SWTOR!

You forced SWTOR to break silence! Keith and Ashley went to the forums to try and calm the flames of anger about what's been going on with SWTOR since patch 7.0. Did it work? No, again SWTORs consistency with being late to the party, once again causes them to fumble and sound even more out of touch with the community!

“SWTOR Central” now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. I know that guy, he’s me 😎

I'll never forget "the year of updates" and we only got 1.

to the voiced dailies. I love how Yavin 4 done it. It is voiced, but not cutscene. You click them, they say something little while it shows you a text bubble like terminals do. When you return it your character says short sentence. Done. And they could simply reuse a lot of the sentences. But instead we get the KOTOR style stuff which is good only for skipping.

Got to respect the flat out "you lie to your community, stop doing that"

Standard style scenes for the main storyline or NOTHING. Bring this game back to the greatness it once was! 😤

Comparing with other communities, for example that of TESO, and seeing how the directors and developers interact with their community, it is clear that for the remaining SWTOR team that is in Broadswords studios there is no longer passion for what they do. It simply became a 9 to 5 job. It is obvious that they only comply and nothing more. The problem here is Management and the attitude towards the project. they no longer do it for the love of the game and obviously they feel the pressure of the community and that worsens the state of SWTOR

I have been preaching that all main story dialogue should be voiced. That scene where the Republic or Empire leaders ask you where Shae Vizla is, being KOTOR style is an absolute crime.

Many of us long-time players have left SWTOR behind. I came in during the end of the level 55 Hutt Cartel era. I don't recognise the game anymore.

The most depressing thing is, they could remedy it all in less than a month.
Remove the 'join as party' function from warzones. PvP fixed. Effort = 5 minutes.
Get one person inside the company to play the game as his fulltime job for finding and documenting bugs, so they can fix them. (I do not believe that anyone is playing the game from the devs. They say so, but it is not believable.)
Stop the DEI immediatly.
Focus on story, not datenights that don't work. (I don't know about you, but I can't replay those.)

They took a Broadsword to this game and decapitated it. Their treatment of the APAC community will not be forgotten.

At this point just add an offline/multiplayer mode and give everyone all the skins and mounts via in game drops or quests like they did with Wayfinder and sell the game and expansions separately

2 min cutscenes and see you in 1 year = i’m gone and spending money on other companies. 7.1 I think was the last time played or when ever they started fighting Inflation. I stuck around for eternal empire to eternal throne. Played onslaught and 6.0. Changes made in legacy of the Sith was the end I just couldn’t take anymore felt like I needed a marriage counselor to play the damn game. Gave the game a lot of love and got none of it back. Hell even the crates of disappointment got some affection from the game. The added cost to quick travel and the loss of powers on a few skill trees just didn’t Merritt playing anymore. Star Trek online elder scrolls online and World of Warcraft there is where all my love went. To swtor I want a divorce.

I will be here to the end but I honestly feel the game is in maintenance mode and we might get an update but far as expansions the game is done

Its good the developers are communicating somewhat.

My unfulfillable dream for swtor would be complete solo story mode. All flashpoints, raids, solable. No achievements, no special drops, juat the story content and story credit for "clearing it." Sort of like the end of Shadow of Revan.
I would suffer through 7.0 gearing for this and 7.0 gearing drove me from the game.
Why? I am story completionist. Took a Jedi Guardian and a Sith Warrior completely through all the story content in order. It was awesome.
I miss 6.0 but stsrted playing around 2. something. I was one of those salty peiple that were mad we didn't get KoToR 3.

The biggest mistake EA made when they still had the job of maintaining and updating SWTOR was to make your companion's stats irrelevant and then to make story mode so easy there is literally no challenge to it. The utter mess made of the crafting system didn't help either. I still play the game and still enjoy the actual stories told but frankly it's just not got that same sense of accomplishment you used to get from completing really hard missions. I used to love tweaking my player and companion's armour and weapons etc so you had the right person with the right skills with you when you took on the boss or went into a multiplayer.

You are absolutely right in what you say.
It's nonchalance from them...

I began playing SWTOR month ago and i still love this game. It's true Star Wars.

And i already formed strong connection with my Wrath. The character who means so much to me and who is now one of my favourites in the entire saga. I felt all his journey and how he had progressed from simple Sith to something beyond dark and light. (Im now on Onslaught)

And this... How his story ends? With game literally slowly-slowly dying?

I still miss Vette in the story sience KOTET. She was one of MAJOR reasons why my Wrath became... So complex and IMPORTANT to me. Why then my Wrath would switch his colors from black-grey-red to black-white-yellow with the gold lightsaber for the name of balance?

How do you guys think? Do i need to drop now and just finish story of my Eternal Wrath until all will be... Well, destroyed? Wrath for me is more that sith or another role-play character, he is my hero.

He is the Eternal Wrath, saviour of Makeb, slayer of the False Emperor, leader of the Alliance, Peacekeeper, Warrior of Honor.

Hmm I could go through some obvious development issues about the game, but what I think is most telling is how combative the communications are becoming towards the community.

The CEO of my company said a few weeks ago that he’d rather over-communicate on something than risk saying it only once or twice and it not get across. With a change like this, over-communicating with the customer base/user/player base is the best policy imo
