You need to test the oil pressure! Chinesium distributor.

I remove the magnets from big speakers put them on the fender wells and leave them there. There great for holding wrenches and bolts. Your lucky you still have your radiator

The old 250 engines from that era are very simple. If you drop the oil pan, the rod and main bearings are easily accessible as is the oil pump. Glad to see the old truck running 👍

I never put metal on top of the battery either when they touch both posts you’ll see

Overheating causes are thrrmostate or lean mixture.
Thrrmostate should be tested on boiling water

Never leave tools near a running engine! That fan could have thrown this to you face and injured you very seriously. A no go.

Do you look at youtube for advice, you should, soak ur lifters in new oil for few days?look through push rods clean the insides, before you start engine prime the engine oil pressure system..alway check new engine parts before rebuild.buy a book in America hand writing, lol how to build suchlike American engines, God bless yall real good.

Doesn't oil travel through the push rods to the top of the motor? I think they are clogged with engine gunk. send that Chinese crap back to Amazon and put the original back on it.
