It actually only takes 23 hours and 56 minutes for the Earth to rotate 360 degrees, but because it revolves around the Sun simultaneously, it needs to spend 4 more minutes rotating to be pointed back at the Sun. This means that from the perspective of the Earth, there are 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year, but from the perspective of someone in outer space, there are 23 hours and 56 minutes in a day and 366 days in a year. This is why the constellations change based on the time of year, since that 4 minute offset each day adds up a lot in the long run.

However, this doesn't apply to things that are actually on Earth, so the place isn't actually open more than all day.

Can we just have a moment to think about the high school girl who knew that a sidereal day IS in fact 23 hours and 56 minutes and 4.06 seconds long? 24 hour diners and such being open more than all day is a fairly common joke among astronomers.

Ladies and gentlemen I felt like Doctor Strange looking through the miltiverse for all the different reasons why that's bullshit and why this guy is getting jumped for having a USMC tattoo when there is no way anyone would let this guy be in any branch of the military.

He hit me in the face with an axe and I needed to get 4 teeth surgically removed. Nowadays I walk around with pliers just in case I run into him. He owes me a tooth and I aim to collect on that debt.
(Technically the damage he did with the axe only split one tooth but the x-ray showed infection under another tooth and two more were wisdom teeth growing at a slanted angle and I can't hold those three against him)

I heard he relocated to a different state but I'm pretty sure I saw him walking around the city a few different times and the guy who told me he moved isn't exactly reliable.

4:00 I have more than once had a wrong number caller argue with me that they had the right number or that they had just received a call from this number. I had that number for years at the time though for the latter, it is possible to fake Caller ID so theoretically they could have received a spam call using a false CID but I suspect they just fat fingered it or were trying to call someone with a different area code.

They even had an observer watch her deliver her next child and immediately take DNA samples which came back as not a match to her. She had Chimerism.
