What probably makes the game so spectacular was we were kids when it came out. Getting home from school because it was the start of winter break and you had nothing but time to kill while playing this game with friends online 24/7. We didn’t have to worry about getting a job, paying bills, making ends meets, raising kids, supporting a family, and so much more. I’m pretty sure when we were kids playing this game we weren’t looking for the video game mechanics, the meta, and etc. I guess we just miss a simpler time in our lives where there were no worries and just living in the moment. Stay blessed out there to whoever reads this and hopefully you find you’re modern day Black ops 2.

The menus, the soundtracks, the maps, the guns. Legit almost everything in the multiplayer aspect of bo2 is phenomenal.

I like how killstreaks could interact with each other, you could always use lower level streaks to help fight against the better ones

i used to think i was just blinded by nostalgia, but for the past 3 months ive been getting back on black ops 2, and the game is truely great. Its just so simple, and great in my opinion, and it holds up even for todays standards.

I consider BO2 to be the pinnacle of the golden age in the classic formula. Multiplayer found the sweet spot for casual pub stomping, and competitive elements gunplay balancing was solid. League Plays system was well-designed and close to near perfection. Every day I grinded my ass off, whenever I came home from school BO2 always kept me engrossed miss those days

Black Ops 2 was a time when everyone was satisfied with what they got. YouTubers were able to make fun content and “gaming YouTube “ vids mostly centered on this game. Pro players enjoyed this game on the competitive side. Zombies YouTubers were becoming more mainstream. The community was a bit more united in the sense that lobbies didn’t disband so you were able to actually form some sort of bond with the random people you met online. Personally, most of my long time online friends I have today came from meeting them in a random Black Ops 2 game.

The emblem creator was literally the greatest thing about this game I spent hours making multiple emblems and it was really cool seeing so many people come up with creative emblems

Being 12-13 when this game came out was a blessing this game left me with so many fond memories and honestly molded me into the gamer I am today even though I don’t play COD anymore

Something odd that I find incredibly nostalgic is the bullet casings being ejected out of the gun, and how it looks. I know, it’s really weird and specific, but nothing can match it.

Bo2 to me feels like the perfect blend of future tech and modern warfare. It has Plenty of future tech but it's all realistic enough and plausible irl while also including weapons that exist irl or were introduced recently (the Kap 40 was apparently in the prototype state when this game came out and the Peacekeeper was really the only fictional gun)

Black ops 2 was my life during high school. I vividly remember sleeping 2-3 hours a night because if I wasn’t at school I was playing Bo2. It was the only cod I absolutely never got bored of, it was the ultimate fall back game as well whenever a bad cod was released afterwards.

BO2 was a big part of my childhood. Things like hopping on zombies or multiplayer with friends after school or having sleepovers at a friends place and playing splitscreen are among my most treasured memories from that time. Something that should also be mentioned is just how good the soundtrack was all around, the multi-player menu music is super nostalgic for instance. Thanks for the great times everyone, keep it real!

Window wars, Michael myers, border patrol, hide and seek, swiftor, trickshotting. These are just some of the things I will never forget and what makes bo2 the best game ever. And who could ever forget about the toxic lobbies😪love it

Everything I've played after Bo2 is just me trying to chase that same feeling I used to get when I would play Bo2 back in the day. Nothing will ever live up to it for me and I miss those days. S&D on Bo2 was an awesome time.

Honestly I enjoy all BO2 multi player maps, I really like the pick ten system in this game, restricting you from overloading your gun but giving you enough customisation between perks and attachments. Just amazing, , I love this and MW2 a lot. MW2 for the unbelievable fun I had.

No FPS that I have played since BO2 has felt as clean and crisp in multiplayer. Such an amazing experience, and I wish modern COD games would simplify and clean up the multiplayer, as clearly it works.

I never owned Black Ops 2 myself, but just going to my friends house to play and watch black ops 2 was simply amazing.
Playing splitscreen zombies and just having fun in multiplayer.
I think alot of it comes down to me being a kid and just having a imagination. I thought everything was cool, I didn't understand ANYTHING.
Remeber the release of Die Rise, the whole day waiting for the DLC to release and go to my friends home.

The only part that upsets me is that I truly enjoyed Transit, Mob, Die Rise, and Buried. Those maps I had so much fun on, I understand everything wasn't the best it could be but also remember, this was the first time ANYONE tried something like this and I cherished it and every new zombies map knowing Treyarch tried back then

I was playing mob of the dead and all the old zombies maps literally last night with my friend from middle school, who lives with me now, we were looking back at all the old DLC camos, talking about how they held a poll for Dragon and Cyborg at first and then released them both. Such a good game and it hurts to think we’ll never experience that again.

Coveted.
