📢 Amendment 3 is now in force with a quick turnaround in the Announcement of Amendment 4 ❗
Installers should download the free PDF of Amendment 3 (2024) from the IET and use this in conjunction with BS 7671:2018+A2 2022.
📢 Amendment 4 DPC 📢
1. Public Consultation Period: The Draft for Public Consultation (DPC) for Amendment 4 to the BS 7671:2018 Wiring Regulations will be open from 7 August 2024 to 3 November 2024.💬
2. Scheduled Publication: Amendment 4 is expected to be published in 2026, following the recent publication of Amendment 3 in 2024. 📰
3. Key Amendments: Amendment 4 will include updates on Stationary Secondary Batteries, low voltage generating sets, power over ethernet, energy efficiency, and functional earthing and functional-equipotential-bonding for Information and Communication Technology Equipment and Systems (ICT). 🔋 ⚡
4. Industry Participation: The IET and BSI are urging those in the electrical industry to review the draft and provide feedback during the consultation period to ensure the standards meet industry needs and safety requirements. 👨🔧
