Israel says its military targeted a senior Hamas leader at the largest hospital in southern Gaza. This comes after a temporary ceasefire deal crumbled and as the Middle East seeks a resolution to the conflict. CBS News' Robert Berger has more.

Gaza is nearly three times smaller than Hiroshima in area, yet Israel has dropped over 30, 000 tons of explosives on the Strip, equivalent to the destructive force of six Hiroshima atomic bombs. This relentless bombardment has turned entire neighborhoods to rubble, killed tens of thousands (mostly women and children), and displaced nearly 2 million people.
The scale of devastation is catastrophic, with hospitals, schools, and refugee camps repeatedly targeted. If this were any other nation, the world would call it a genocide. But for Palestinians, it’s just another chapter in their 75-year struggle for survival under occupation and siege.
