You will need a T40 bit and a pole to hold up the trunk (or a separate person).

These arm struts where 40 a piece at auto zone (plus 50 dollars at the jeep dealership to install) thanks for the link and video turned 130 repair to a 22 dollar repair 😪🙏🏾

My 2009 Grand Cherokee has a different mounting bracket for the struts . Mine have a '' C '' clip that you have to pop off with a small screwdriver. But I still couldn't get the strut off. The nice guy at NAPA Auto even tried and had no luck. I'm stopping at the lumber yard and buying a 6 ft. 2x4 to keep in the back of my Jeep ! LOL
