Taking some of these questions and comments out for a spin! If you're an older skater and you find yourself longing to ride a skateboard again you should absolutely do it! Stop caring about what other people think because the truth is nobody cares. But I want you to care about your happiness, mental and physical health, KEEP SHREDDING!! ❤️🛹🤘

Welcome to my journey It hasn't been easy and life has a way of getting in the way. But I pushed through all the BS and shed 70 pounds and have been progressing at a steady rate. There has also been injuries most I've bested, but some I'm still working through. It's a reality of skateboarding that you'll need to be comfortable with. Safety gear and skating within your limits can really help mitigate the risk but it's danger is never completely gone. I'm so excited to take you all along on this journey and I hope it inspires you to get back on your board. Please join me, like, subscribe and stay tuned for more skateboarding! It's been a long time off the board and I just wanted to share my experience for anyone looking to get back into skateboarding or even if you're new to it. I've missed skateboarding so much and after weight gain among other life issues skating just took a far back seat. Well my friends the time for regret is over because I'm back and loving it. I'm just a little bit older and heavier but with a healthy diet, exercise and skateboarding back in my life the pounds are melting off and flexibility and strength are coming back. Let's connect in the comments! 😊❤️🛹

51 years old, been skating for almost 40 years…building backyard bowls- I’m just here to say: DO IT! Skateboarding is a lot better as an adult than it was when you were a little kid

Ah, so jealous of that park and the weather you have! I'm in the UK here, just turned 50, was skating much more back in 2019 (along with doing muay thai classes, getting in my home gym a lot and generally feeling really good) - been skating since 1986 or so, really peaked in the mid-90's (even did a trip to SF with friends in 1994 to go skate all the spots in the videos!) so when I do get back on the board it really is like second nature, like riding a bike, but - Covid completely derailed me. I've probably skated twice since then, work from home (up to 16 hours a day) and feel like I'm in some kind of loop of insanity when it comes to just wanting to be back to where I was in 2019. I'm now coming out of 2 weeks of absolutely brutal flu which has got me so depressed it's kind of giving me the motivation I need, because I just never want to feel this terrible again. I'm now 100% off booze (big fan of craft beer lol) and aiming to get back in my gym this coming Saturday. It'll be a start at least.

46 and just got back on a board last fall. Can't wait for this snow to melt and get back on. Never realized how much I missed it. Just the sound of that roll makes me smile.

Also want to point out to a lot of the audience you are reaching out to: the BIG difference between when you were a kid and now is that skateboarding can FINALLY just be about GOING FAST on a skateboard- there is nothing like hauling ass through a nice, clean skatepark unhindered by the obsession with “tricks.”

Sure, give yourself the gift of say, getting your ollie back…grinding some coping, etc.

But primarily, feel the well deserved privilege of just cruising a skatepark as fast as you can. Not just talking about bowls either: starting “unweighting” when you go over pyramid corners and hips, get some little powerslides on the banks. But mostly, enjoy the liberation from tricks and see how much faster you can ride! See how many laps you can do without pushing! ❤

I started skating in the late 80s. Now I'm creeping up on 50. Lol. I've seen trends come and go. Ive skated a few famous spots. That is a beautiful park by the way!! Had a few nasty injuries. But it's kept me out of trouble, and somewhat in shape. Lol

Ehhh Bruddah! I'm 43, I want to drop 30 lb and start skateboarding again. It gives me something to look forward to and a reason to get out and enjoy the sunny California.
