Hey guys It’s Chris and in today’s video I am talking about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Official Trailer. Disney and Marvel have released a brand new official trailer and this trailer has awakened my inner Spider-Man. I’m thrilled for a new animated Spider-Man series.
Let’s get into it!
The first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is scheduled to premiere on Disney + on January 29, 2025, and will consist of ten episodes. This series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we've ever seen. This series is set in an alternate timeline where Norman Osborn becomes Peter’s mentor instead of Tony Stark. In my opinion this is a nice change of direction. This concept could bring some interesting ideas. In particular how Peter receives his suits.
In the trailer we are shown the homemade suit. This suit was clearly created by Peter. We are also shown the future foundation suit. This suit has a deeper meaning in the comic books and was surely created at Oscorp. When Spider-Man is given this suit, he has joined The Future Foundation. In this series Spider-Man could eventually be part of a team. I know Daredevil will make an appearance. Is he the one to recruit Spider-Man? Just have to wait and see.
This series looks to pay homage to the early art style of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books. The animation style reminds me of X-Men 97 infused with What If…?. The style looks vibrant and hopefully the action sequences are stylish and eye pleasing. The animation looks to be the biggest selling point of the series.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man looks to be a good addition to the Spider-Man franchise. The series embraces its early comic books roots. The premise sounds interesting and hopefully they can add some fresh and clever ideas to the franchise. My biggest hope for this series is, I hope it can stand head to head with some of the best animated Spider-Man shows ever.
