Chase Bays Power Steering Kit for BMW Z3: Installation and Review

The power steering system in BMWs is a know weakness, given how frequently these systems begin to leak over time. In this episode, I install a Chase Bays BMW E46 power steering kit on an inline-6 Z3 to remedy this issue, and explain whether I think it's worth the $400+ price tag.

I also show the original routing of the Z3 power steering system and go through the bleeding process for the Chase Bays power steering system.

Always use caution when working beneath your vehicle, and make sure to read and understand manufacturer instructions when installing new parts.

I guess the lines supplied were long enough? I just purchase the kit (without the cooler) for my 3.0 Z3, and the lines form reservoir to pump looks like it is going to be too short.

I have one of these in my z3 as well! I wish i had gone with just the reservoir and replaced the lines, would’ve been cheaper and easier but oh well lol. I did have the same issue with the pump adapter, but they sent me a replacement for free *shrug*
