I was a new player until a week ago, i quit. NA is not noob friendly, they expect you to know mechs even if i explained that while i know them from videos, i still need to practice. Most rooms also filter players through engravings. I do have irl friends ingame but they cant help me in raids because of ilvls, they are running 1445, so i gave up. Game is good though, but the stress of finding groups in raid and "forcing" you to have alts to at least be competitive killed the game for me.

My advice: don't force everything at once. If you have the time, split your dailies - or just skip guardians for one day, then chaos the next, then guardian again and so on.
I personally have 2 groups. A. Chaos + Una B. Guardians
I do either of the two after reset - whenever I have the time. Then before reset - whenever I have time - I do the rest.

In my personal case, I am done with Group A in about 2hrs (11 characters). Group B I do with my 6 gold gainers - the others don't have engravings, so I don't want to do Yoho/Deskaluda with them, and it takes about 40 minutes.
Group B, Guardians only, has the advantage of it not taking much time at all. Which gives me the time to do weekly raids.
If I skip Group A or B one day, it doesn't hurt too much. My sanity > honing materials.

If people weren't so obsessed with what engravings others have, it might be a bit easier for new players to play the game.

Idk this is the only mmo where i Could get to the endgame and experience big raids, lvling is easy, now you can get carried so cheap while you farm your runes and skill points, supports are op. Expecting to experience the same content in same Fashion as someone who played for 6+months is delusional. The content releases in such a way that in a few months sometimes you will reach the last piece of content before it releases. I remember trying other mmos and never Even reaching max lvl, this Game is actually really calm if you play only at your own pace. Tldr theres people who have 9+ characters at 1490 now and theres people like me who have only 2 by playing since launch and probably ppl who have less, we can all do the content thats in the Game now. Its a grindy mmo so if you play more you have more, Find your balance and remember, its a Game.

You didn't mention the Stronghold
If someone new is reading this: Level up your stronghold so you can have access to the Transfer Knowledge function and the Training
Transfer Knowledge make alters way easier you just need the materials to reach certain Item Level and you skip all the history wich takes like 2 hours per continent if you are going fast
Training takes your level 50 character and start gaining exp without doing nothing until it reach the 2 levels below of your highest character

Stopped playing back in May, came by to see if it was good to pick back up. All I got out of this is they still make the game feel inconvenient so you will spend real money to overcome those inconveniences. Other games I play, I can spend $80 a year and the experience is great. This game I found the experience sucked and I spent hundreds of dollars a month to overcome that. If you are a new player, this is something you need to consider.

Thanks for the help & advice! I've had this game on my PC for 2 months and have not started till Feb 4th, today, because I was intimidated by the sheer amount of shit to learn. I'm 51 and my min/max game is down pretty bad. Liked & Subbed. Knowing that support like Bards & Pallys is good to know. I wanted to roll a mage 1st then a warrior or rogue. I figure if I learn a hard class I'll learn the game.

Not sure about recommending to start as a support tbh. Starting as a support is tedious when clearing content, and i've found it easier to main dps and knowledge transfer or powerpass the support
