A friend built a deck around this commander. Wiped the table in 3 combats (like turn 5, 6 and 7), one player had 70 Life even. It's weird that Soldier or Knight Tokens aren't considered Human even though they are depicted as such.

I did not know that Winota had such potential! I recently (only 3 days ago) FINALLY got my Mystery Booster box after ordering it in January. Got some amazing cards Like Eldrazi Monument and Scourge of Thrones, which would work wonders in a deck like this.
Thanks for showing me how well this deck works. I'm going to build it up as soon as possible... and probably have to wait another 4 months for any singles I need shipped.... urgh....

I think this commander is incredibly interesting and incredibly fun. I take a bit of pride in brewing one of the first Winota decks ever, as there were less than 5 on the EDHrec page while I was going at it. I’ll definitely be taking some inspiration from here before making the deck in paper, once it’s safe to play in person, that is. No way I’m taking out Godo or Kiki though! Need some way to win out of nowhere in Boros...

God i hate winota, she represents everything wrong with magic right now.
Instead of addressing the identity crisis of boros being combat only, they go in head first.
Free casting has been and still is notably broken and every time they do it it breaks formats. Aetherworks marvel broke standard, Lurrus broke basicly everything, golos broke brawl, fires of invention, the list goes.

Wotc continues making pushed pack selling cards that break the fundamental rules of mtg and then they are astonished when the community fires back in rage.
Winota is just the next free cast broken thing to be banned, she already on a suspended list and is a watched card for standard banning.
How long till wotc makes mtg again, im sick of playing yugioh ..
