How to fix 'Your PC/Device needs to be repaired' error (0xc0000428, Incorrect Date)

PC was booted from Windows 10 Technical Preview DVD.

Displayed error message: Recovery, Your PC/Device needs to be repaired, Digital Signature couldn't be verified (0xc0000428)

Solution: When booting the PC from the Windows 10 Technical Preview DVD, enter BIOS and make sure you set the computer's date between 2014 and first part of 2015.

I don't quite understand why... but this did the trick for me. My upgrade from windows 7 to 10 was always failing at this point. A quick change of the BIOs date did the trick, just as you suggest in the video. Any explanation of why or what this is doing? Makes no sense but it works!

Worked for me on same issue with windows 7 that I had put a Windows 10 preview on. I just pushed the year back one and ... walla! I was able to use the Windows System Repair Disk to boot to Win 10 and selected "roll back to previous version".

Lets say im not doing it from BIOS. Can i fix it? I have full access to my PC in Windows 7, all access to all files, basically as if there is no errors BUT when i tried to install 10 it gave me that error and i think it fucks up my 7 too.
