Much as I like Endeavors character development, he deserved EVERYTHING thrown by Natsuo. The fact remains he was a shitty father and even worse husband, and that shouldn’t be ignored. I don’t like when characters who do terrible things or act selfishly have those crimes easily ignored or forgiven by friends or family, so it’s refreshing to see that Endeavor gets called out. Endeavor has to work hard to earn his family’s forgiveness, and even then, they have the option to not forgive him.

Can we appreciate just how realistic this scene is? We’re talking about a sister trying to restore the peace, one son who holds a grudge against his dad yet tries to maintain his composure, another son who breaks during dinner, and a father trying to confront his inner demons and make up for all the strife he has caused. The family dynamics in this anime are incredible.

I like the realism in this. Victims of abuse have all different reactions to when the abuser realizes the wrongdoing. Endeavor doesn't want forgiveness. And each child's and wife reaction isn't wrong. It's almost like we all can see ourselves in this. It's tragic and I am glad I watched this anime with my niece and young cousin. so we could talk about the subjects.

For everyone wondering about Natsuo loosing his shit when Shoto mentioned that he liked Soba:

Natsuo kinda blames himself too for Touyas death.
Touya apparently liked Soba so Natsuo feels guilty here : if he had talked to Touya, Touya wouldnt have burned himself and him and Shoto would enjoy having Soba together.

I’m glad people are realizing that it’s not just Shoto and Touya who went through pain. Rei was abused by Endeavor, Natsuo and Fuyumi had to watch their little brother and mom be abused, and they felt like failures since they weren’t born with the powers their father wanted them to have. I love Natsuo and I was glad he and Fuyumi got more screen time in this episode.

I love Fuyumi very much, she is probably my favorite female character in the series even though she has a minor role. I empathize with her desire to want a normal happy family, and I deeply admire how much effort she puts in. She even cares about her father despite the pain he's put the family through, she still extends a hand and gives him a chance to atone.

Out of all of the children, Natsuo has the smallest relationship with Endeavour. As in, his father just wasn’t in his life. We know that Touya was trained by Endeavour for a good few years, and obviously Shouto too, Fuyumi is actively trying to make the family work so there is a relationship there. But for Natsuo, his father wasn’t in his life at the beginning, and now that he wants to be it too late. He’s 19 now, it’s been basically 2 decades and Endeavour has shown no previous interest in him all those years, only now he does? On top of that, like he mentioned, his main view on his father was how he treated his family members badly, one that he is closer with than Endeavour. His view on Endeavour is a bad one and there’s nothing to build on to make it better, or have a ‘father-son’ relationship, because Endeavour has never been a father to him.
