All three athletes have the talent to do really well this season but being a Jamaican my focus is on Shericka, who seems to have something big up her sleeves. In her interviews she seems supremely confident and speaks to she and her coach working on aspects of her races to maximize her potential to excel in both events in Budapest. I am super excited to see how they will all perform at the next World Championships and beyond. Exciting times ahead!!!

I definitely agree with your assessment on Jackson. She definitely seems to be planning to peak for later in the season . I definitely see her getting under 10.7 in the 100m this year. Richardson is also looking good; so I expect a major battle between them for the 100m title if they both continue improving on their current form. As for the 200m, I think that it depends on how low into the 10.6's she dips; but I'm thinking high 21.3's. I consider her heavy favorite for the 200m crown.

As for Lyles, he is HEAVY favorite for the 200m gold IMHO. And I agree that he'll probably go under 19.3 this year. Knighton has also distinguished himself as a medal contender. As for other contenders, I actually think that Fred Kerley is looking solid; and I could see him on the podium for the 200m as well. The limiting factor for him is the curve.

I fully expect for Van Niekerk to be on the podium in Budapest. He looks comfortable running low 44's. I expect a high 43 by championship season. Gardiner has looked very confident and comfortable in both of his outings over 400m; and I expect him to run much faster than 44.4 by the time we get into the championships. Kirani James is running consistently; and is always good for low to mid 44 seconds come major championships. If no one steps up t o run faster than that, he will be on the podium. I'm also very curious as to how Samukonga will run with more expectations on him.

Men 400m is going to be the race of the Championship in my opinion . A healthy Wade and Gardiner should see a low 43, cant wait to see it

I’m most interested in seeing what Lyles and Knighton will do in the 200m as the season progresses. In the women’s 100m, Sha’Carri is looking good.

I think we will get fact times but Oregon always has really fast times. Idk if records will be broken in Budapest. But I can see records falling at prefontaine depending on how people hold up through September

Just insane that as crazy good as Shericka has been in the 100m with her 10th best time of 10.81, both Elaine & Shelly's 10th best times are 10.72 & 10.70 respectively! Ta Lou & Sha'Carri's 10.72 PBs are Elaine's 9th & Shelly's 15th best times! In addition to those already named, I'm curious as to what Julien Alfred can do @WC following her unlucky false start in last year's semi. She's going to get a good break between NCAAs & Budapest, would love to see her run a couple of DL races as prep.

That 19.67 (0.3) means Lyles only needs 2 more sub 20s clockings to surpass Bolt's total of 34! Will caveat this by saying Bolt obviously had his injury issues so didn't race as much, plus he was obviously competitive in the 100m to put it mildly, whereas Lyles has raced the 200m more often as his primary event! NGL, wouldn't mind Lyles running 19.25 to go ahead of Yohan but wouldn't feel right if 19.18 came up on the screen :) At this rate, the '25 Tokyo WC will be the earliest that a 21yr old Knighton will start to consistently become a problem for Lyles in the 200m.

WvN getting back on the podium would surely bring the house down in Budapest! 20yr old Zambian Muzaka Samukonga who's run 43.91 & 44.25 this year is looking dangerous & Botswana keeps pumping out quarter-milers for fun in Ndori & Kebinatshipi! US 400m Trials with obviously no Randolph Ross, Kerley & Norman is interesting in its own right - will the 4-man Team be mostly made up of (recent) collegians in Champion Allison, Ryan Willie & Elija Godwin with Norman (if he doesn't make either 100/200m Teams) with none of Deadmon, Norwood, Cherry, Stewart & London making it?!

I think Sharicka can medal in the 100m but I'd say Sha'carri still looks better right now, Noah Lyles can break the WR this year we will just have to stay tuned if he is able to peak and time it for the World Champs, Van Niekerk will make the 400m final not so sure if he can medal yet, looking for a sub 44s from him first

No normal sized human will ever beat Daddy Long Legs but if we could get another giant to practice, train and compete, he'll put Bolt's records into second place.

I don’t see a gold for Shericka Jackson in the 100m but she will in the 200m. I think she may come up for a bronze in the 100m

Jackson should lose. Lyles is good. Wayde is the king!

I feel like y’all are underestimating Sha’Carri but it’s fine. 👏🏾
