How to Download and Install Plugins for GIMP (Windows)

Finally you got it right this time. I wrote a comment in one of your older video in where you were instructing users to install the plugins in the wrong directory, C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins. I even mention the right directory, but you did not acknowledge the comment. Now, I guest you got convince and you are instructing the user the right way. Believe me I been using GIMP way before you have even know that it existed. Have good day and keep on instructing the right way.

This doesn't work I click on that file cabinet I get this pop up . Can't show file in file manager: ILCreateFromPath() failed. I went to that address on my c drive opened the gimp folder No plug in folder found I made a plug-in folder in there now how do I know if the plu in works I dont see it in the gimp program .. Do I need to install Python?

Sir, I want to learn GIMP but don't know where to start. It's like, I did downloaded GIMP on a PC but I found it very difficult to understand 😅. A suggestion from you would be great as you are a GIMP expert .

Apologies for off topic, but is the new GIMP 2.99.10 development version stable enough for general use? The changes to layer grouping seem pretty extensive, so I'd like to get started as soon as possible.

Hi Mike, I am wondering if this would work with Photoshop compatible free plugins? I've had issues, even though I've used pspi (32 bit plugin support). Does what you suggest work with latest gimp? - I haven't upgraded like for two years. Maybe pspi has been out in thereon folder.
