Step 1 Take a Look at Newsletter Tags.
We are going to benefit from a tagging system that is available in the plugin. These helpful tags help customize the newsletter to make it look personal and more appealing to the contact.
Our choice fell on the name and unsubscription URL tags. They are essential for every email.
Step 2 Create the Template in Postcards and Add Tags. Open Postcards App. Create a template.
We have used the basic modules. As for you, you can build whatever you want. However, remember to add a header or any other section that has a title so that we can address your message to the subscriber properly.
After you are done with designing, you can add custom tags. Predictably, the name tag will go into the header, whereas the unsubscription URL tag will go into the footer section.
To incorporate newsletter tags, you need to click on the section and edit the text on the control panel on the right.
First, select the header and add {name} tag into a text editor.
After that, select the footer section. Here find an email link. Replace the default value with the word “Unsubscribe” and default URL with {unsubscription_url} tag.
At this point, your template is ready. Export files by pressing on the “Export” button. On the pop-up window, check the “Host images online” option and hit the “Download ZIP” button.
Open your website run by WordPress. Go to the dashboard of the Newsletter plugin.
That is all. If you want, you can preview the email newsletter by clicking on the “eyeball” button.
