I’m so glad I found this channel. It reminds me of the days I used to sit and watch Grant and you for hours. Rest in peace. 🕊️

As a chemist I can concur: science is definitely happening when you see bubbles. Just don't forget to write it down!

i'm just amazed that a thin plastic film is more resistant to that chemical reaction than Aluminium

how long does it take to disintegrate the alluminum? ik youve done something of sorts on TKOR before, but i think the can was empty and it wasnt a shorts. something like this is actually perfect for a shorts tbh.

This video should have 50 million views for the hard work he put in this video and probably how long it took

Indeed bubbles mean science is happening...

That weird, I worked at a aluminum soda can making facility and they never put plastic in it.

You should do this but with all of the can just all gone it would look so cool to have

That is the exact lye I use to make soap 😂 I love what you do, this os why I subscribe to you now and not TKOR

a note of caution - don't try this at home, and always wear eye protection/gloves/long sleeves when dealing with caustic solutions. if that soda liner had popped it mightve caused potential splashing as the liquid fell into the lye solution and potentially splashed on poor nate.

Lol u should try that but with a unopened can

We have a Sodium hydroxide tank at work that people sometimes put Aluminum in on accident. Way more bubbles.
