You can lock the whatsapp application so that the whole chat will be locked but if you want to hide the chat with an individual contact in whatsapp application then you have to install the tweaked version of whatsapp application which is GBWhatsapp. But before that what you do is open your whatsapp application and then you have to back up all the chats. So once you open. Go to this more option here. settings. Chats. Go to this chat backup and then you backup all the chats that are present. After that you have to uninstall your whatsapp application and then you have to install the GBWhatsapp application. Now if you want to install that application it is not available in the Play store. You can download it from a website. So what I will do is I will open google chrome and then what we will do is we will search for GBWhatsapp GBWhatsapp download and if you scroll down you will find websites from where you can download the GBWhatsapp application apk file. So once we have downloaded GB Whatsapp application we will install it. So we will go to this installation file and install. Now remember that you have to allow your android device to install third-party application. So once you have installed, select open. You have to allow GBWhatsapp to access photos, medias and files on your device. Select Agree and Continue. Now you have to enter the phone number. Next. So it is asking me whether this is my phone number. So I will tap ok this is my phone number. Now WhatsApp has to verify their number. So select continue and you have to allow whatsapp GBWhatsapp to send and view sms messages. Now a verification code will be sent to your number and it will be automatically verified. Now my phone number is verified GBWhatsapp application is trying to find if there is backup of my chat in google drive. So I have to allow. So select continue. Select Allow access to your contact. Now backup is found. So then select Restore. Then Next and you can enter your name here. So I will just write here and then next. Close. So once the chats are restored if you want to hide any chart for example like this one then what I will do is I will tap and hold this chat. Once it is selected I can tap on this eye icon here which is crossed. Now I have the option to lock the chat either with pattern, PIN or Fingerprint. So let me select PIN

and then I can put any PIN number here. After that what I will do I will again tap on this eye icon one more time and then I will enter the pin which I had just set. Now the chat is hidden. If I close whatsapp application which is GBWhatsapp and if I open this GBWhatsapp application then let us see what happens.

The chat is hidden and if I have to see the hidden chat I have to tap on this WhatsApp and then I have to enter the PIN code and I can see the chat. So this is how you can hide the chat with an individual contact in whatsapp application.
