A Russian coach once said of Wayne Gretzky something like, "During the play he disappears, then he reappears out of nowhere, and makes something happen." With Mathews, the Leafs most high profile player and prolific scorer, I'm amazed how often he does the same. Just disappears into the play, then reappears and scores. His third goal was a perfect example if this.
