Yes, that does bring back memories, and particularly for me since I'm in the brother's age group. They came along at the 'perfect' time, after the Civil Rights Movement, which gave our race even more hope, and inspiration. Thank God for the Jacksons, and Muhammad Ali during that time zone.

This was The Show that every Rock Star wanted to do. It started out in 1952 as Bob Horn's Bandstand In Philadelphia, PA., and then when Bob Horn got fired for his addiction to Drugs & Alcohol, Dick Clark took over the show and it was Broadcasted all over America on August 5th 1957 and it was on the air until 1989. If you Did "Bandstand" back in the day you had arrived because all of the other Shows wanted you. There were so many who tried to cash in on The Bandstand Popularity. There was Hollywood A Go Go, Hullaballoo, Shindig, Shivaree and The Lloyd Thaxton Show (Who Created Tiger Beat Magazine and it's Sister Magazine Right On). Dick had another Show in the 1960's called Where The Action Is. He was a very smart Businessman who acquired alot of Shows most notably The TAMI Show and Ready Steady Go: The Sounds Of Motown from 1965. He's also the creative Force behind The American Music Awards, New Year's Rockin' Eve, The Golden Globe Awards and if you see an Informercial for Time-Life and see AB or DC it's from one of his Shows. At one time or another all of the Jackson Children appeared on the Show from 1970-1986.

I can feel your beautiful vibrations. I'm in these guy's age group, so I go WAY back to their cartoons, all that. They, to me, stands as living proof what black people can aspire to, and beyond!! We are much greater than we think. 🌹

Oh my God, the cameraman 'really' suck back then. Terrible! They kept the focus on MJ the mass majority of the time, and rarely did we get a close-up on the rest of the brothers. They had to be pissed!
