In today’s episode I go spearfishing with Justin Lee in Hawaii to collect groceries. During quarantine here in Hawaii we are super lucky to still have access to our oceans to collect food. We have an epic day shooting lots of goat fish and collecting tako (he’e) (octopus). I get some unbelievable film of Justin hunting like a pro. We take the fish home and Sam and I take you through the whole process of how to Chinese style steam the most delicious fish in Hawaii.

When you remove the scales start from the head and then move your way back.By removing the first scales, the ones following won't find resistance and go off easier.
Great vid!

For everyone wondering, after about 40-50 feet, there’s enough water pressure on your body that you actually start to become denser. You go from being buoyant on the surface to being able to sink, just another danger when diving and why you should have proper training and take safety precautions.

Seriously, the best videos ever. I hunt deer and elk every year, but wish I could go spear fishing every week.

Quarentacos for sure. 100% agreed about hunting and fishing being essential activities. On my Instagram I did a post to let those spearfisherman/women or others who do similar things know that it’s an essential activity and to know what they’re allowed to. Great seeing you have fun out there 🤙

My name is Justin and I live on Oahu And I really liked this video, keeping it true and loving the respect that you guys have when it comes to diving . I’ve been diving for a while but you always get a chance to learn and that’s what I got out of this video. Thanks and keep posting awesome videos, looking forward to seeing the next one . Aloha 🤙🏼

Oh, how I miss my spearfishing days along the north shore of Oahu. Goatfish were my favorite to catch and eat. Nothing fancy...just pan fry with salt, pepper, hot rice, and shoyu. Great video!

Love Sam’s dance moves while she eats. Can the next video just be her breaking down that choreography for us?
