About This Release:
Having helped create the currently exploding 110 Bassfunk scene, much loved label Bombstrikes continues to expand its musical horizons. On this release it's the pairing of Mooqee & Herbgrinder who deliver the bass heavy goods. Having picked up Beatport music awards, countless sales, No.1 spots and holding his own in the top 5 of charts ranging from Beatport's Drum And Bass to Glitch Hop, Mooqee is no stranger to success. The much hyped Herbgrinder has been smashing his way across the scene and has already been picked up to remix for the likes of Ministry of Sound and Utah Saints. Together the duo form quite an alliance, with their last outing together being chosen by Annie Nightingale as part of her 'tracks of 2012' BBC radio 1 show.
The delightfully soul heavy but powerful vocals are delivered by the much talented Greg Blackman who has picked up an army of fans for his own work but also providing vocals for the likes of DJ Vadim and Featurecast.
Three mixes to chose from here, the original goes straight for the DnB jugular but keeps a good helping of soulfulness to go alongside the bang. The boys then turn in a 110 Bassfunk mix themselves which slows things down but loses non of the energy. The final mix comes from Canadian wonderkid; Neon Steve who is carving out quiet a name for himself with the scope of his talents and his effortless gliding between genres. Here he delivers a deep 808 driven groover.
