because, say, older BMWs, where they still have "E" on the generation names, have some of the more direct and linear power steering out of, say, most premium-level and performance cars. The steering ratio is often not exaggerated as well, which means you need more turns to go from lock to lock. For those who understand, this is better. But for most, it'll feel harder to drive than cars with non-linear exaggerated steering ratios i.e your average grocery shuttlers.

My first vehicle was a 1999 Chevy Silverado, and that thing was a tank. At least I thought it was until I got a 2011 Silverado with a 6" lift. That thing is so long and proportionaly larger all around- that thing is horrible for parking lots, or any kind of commuter anything. It's amazing for when there's a foot of snow on the road during a blizzard and snow plows haven't made their rounds yet tho, we don't get snow days from work where I live. It also came in clutch when I drove to Moab, Utah and there was a flash flood river down the main street that was a foot deep. I just drove through it like it wasn't there while most everyone else had to stop.
I just bought a brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and it rides so, SO nice. It practically feels as small and light as a sedan and has lighter steering than any sedan I've driven. I sit higher and more upright rather than just above the ground like sedans do, so I feel like I can see around me so much better than in them. Maybe that's just because I'm so used to driving a land whale.
I'll never buy a lifted truck ever again lol (and I'm not gonna lift my Jeep either, it's perfectly fine as is and it would only ruin how nice it rides)
