I am asleep, I am a slug
I am a thief, I am a thug
You are grace, you are belief
You are a Lazarus drug
You are devotion
Magnetic motion, push and pull
I am the ocean
Helpless
When the moon is full
And when you make
A perfect circle in the sky
I get so high
I get so high I'm like a planet
And I can't come down
Oh, I can't come down
You are an angel
And when you weep, the heavens rain
I am a mermaid, eating at the sushi train
But when you look in me
With language in your eyes
I get so high
I get so high I'm like a planet
And I can't come down
Oh, I can't come down
Oh, I can't come down
Oh, I can't come down
I feel it in the morning
I feel how low it lies
And then I hear you calling
And then I start to rise
I feel it in the morning
I feel how low it lies
And then I hear you call my name
And then I start to rise
And when I hear you calling
Like you were always there
I rise until I'm hanging
In the middle of the air
And when I hear you calling
I split like I'm a snake
With golden light like fingers
And then I start to break
Into a billion pieces
Oh, I shatter into constellations
Like I've never been more here
Like I completely disappear
I'm nothingness, but shining
And everywhere at once
I'm everything and everyone who is or ever was
And you're nothingness, but shining
And everywhere at once
You're everything, we're everyone who is or ever was, forever.

I’m a grown ass man that purposely listens to this beautiful song, and ugly cries in remembrance of that final Bluey scene in “Sign”

If none of you realize why her voice sounds so familiar, it’s because she’s the voice of Calypso 🥰

55 years old and haven't cried like this for years. The Bluey episode, home, your kids growing up, the woman you love, then that song, well it is astounding. I challenge anyone to watch Bluey 'The Sign' and if you fail to feel what its really like to be 'On Country' and with your family, then I really feel for you.

If you close your eyes you can just imagine Calypso singing.

The lyrics to this song reminds me of my dad, once just a teacher at my school, who took me in when I was 16 as his own after years of abuse from my biological father. I’m 18 now, still very troubled, but I always pick flowers for dad for when he gets home from work. These lyrics are a perfect reflection of how I respond to my dad calling out to me when he gets home from work each day.

My husband and I have been separated for three years. We have reconciled, but live in different states now and have to decide if he moves here or our two children and I move there. The Sign came out while we were on a rare visit to him and I can’t tell you how hard we were hit by this song and the dynamic between Chili and Bandit ❤

Dear Meg,
Thank you for helping our children grow up.
Thank you for giving us adults something to be happy about, regardless of whether or not we have young children;
For even though some may frown upon voice actors, saying they don't do anything but stand in a recording booth reciting dialogue,
it seems as though only us fans can truly appreciate your work.
Thank you for such poetic lyrics, and for a tune to keep us going in times when some of us may feel as though it isn't worth going through; when so much fails to inspire us in quite the same way.
Because trust me: I should know it is so.
Sincerely,
Mike

I love this song. And I don't know why I always end up crying.

I will not sugar coat this, I cried when this played in “the sign” and I almost cried again listening to it separately

My daughter loves. This song she’s 6 years old…. “Daddy play my song Meg Washington, “ then she has to play it for everyone she meets oh and she knows at least 60 % of the song. So adorable

We all BAWLED and BAWLED at this scene in The Sign, and we've been listening to this piece tenderly since, like slowly peeling a bandage. Watching this was the first time+version when my 11yo did NOT automatically start tearing up (TBF I've fit in about a dozen more listens than they have). Thank you, Ms. Washington, for bringing this beauty into our world. 💙

I love Bluey rewatching The Sign again and I still cry when I see the end

The quiet Bluey opening trill notes to close the piece was such a fantastic touch. Thank you, Meg Washington, for your magic with this show and in life.
