Great video. The illustrations with three circles - Belief, Baptism, and Salvation - beginning at 4:49 is excellent. The order of the circles clearly distinguishes what is taught in denominationalism versus the Bible.

Work is a byproduct of faith.
James 2:26 says "...faith without works is dead".
Our works alone (without faith) won't save us.
We need faith to be saved.
And because we have faith, we work!

God’s word is very clear about baptism. It is not a “profession of faith”, it is the washing away of sins. Great video with scripture evidence.

Faith is a work only for those who were required to do works for salvation. Faith is not a work for those who were saved apart from works by grace alone. II Timothy 2:15 - “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

If Israel's slavery in Egypt symbolizes slavery to sin, then their exodus from Egypt symbolizes "departure from a life of sin, " or repentance. Note that their departure was immediately followed by crossing the sea, which Paul hints symbolizes baptism (1 Cor 10). God knows our feeble efforts in repentance will only get us so far, so He has to do a miracle in baptism to set us truly free from sin's power! This is why it is "repentance AND baptism" together as Peter said in Acts 2:38.

According to the NT, baptism does many things, the chief of which is "circumcision of the flesh" Col 2:11. In other words, baptism removes the sin nature (as well as give us new life). Rom 6 describes the same effect from our baptism into His death. It is necessary to deal with the sin nature in order to receive eternal life. Eph 2:3 says "we were, by nature, children of wrath" - presumably because of our behavior. If salvation means anything, then the sin nature MUST be dealt with - according to Eph 2:3. This is the salvation Eph 2:8 is referring to, in context.

Paul says Jesus didn't send him to baptize. Paul went to the world to set up new churches and teach them the proper ways to serve God and the next step was spirit baptism. If you are able to follow the developing revelation of God you should be able to see God has moved on from water baptism to baptism of the Spirit at conversion. Just like we dont do physical circumcision now but it is done by the Spirit. Paul also says in eph 4:4 -5 there is only one baptism. Which one do you want? Why do ppl still practice water then? . Peter says in 1pet 3:21 that the flood waters symbolizes baptism that now saves us . Does water symbolize water?. What Jesus said in mat 28: 19 was go and immerse the world in the name of the father, the son and the spirit. Not go and dunk them in water.

Baptism, by itself doesn't save you. The man who was on the cross, next to Jesus, we can assume, wasn't baptized. He knew that he deserved to be crucified. He also knew that Jesus had done no wrong. He told the other man to be quiet. He asked Jesus to remember him, when he came into his kingdom. Jesus said, " Today, you will be with me in paradise ."

I think its silly that we question baptism. Jesus said to do it and it is talked about throughout the whole NT. It is as if people are asking "What is the least I can do and still be saved?". That is like getting married and not going on dates or soending time with your spouse assuming that you can do the least amount and still have a strong marriage.

Thank you so much for this video. You explain what the Bible says about baptism very well. I can't tell you how many "Christians" I have spoken with who discount the importance of baptism and treat it as something you do AFTER you are saved which is NOT at all what the Bible teaches, as you so clearly point out. Thanks again. May the LORD bless you!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, Acts 2 in its entirety was preached to the Jewish people. As the  Word says, to the Jew first and then to the Gentiles. That same message was preached to those of us who are Gentiles through out the entire book of Act. The gospel message and requirements are the same for all, Jew and Gentile. I have studied with people, Gentiles as I am and only two Jews, since a teenager. And I have used many verses in Acts 2, not just one. And many verses in Acts and other books. The gospel is for all.

Past few years, many people sure are convinced baptism is not required.
At least 3 scriptures i read says it is.
It 8s not a fraternity pledge, but a appeal to God for a clear conscience.
Rise up washed and to live for Christ.

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭3:21‬ "There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ"
4:3‬ ‭"we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries."
4:7‭-‬8‬ "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”"

What about the man next to Christ on the cross...
Repent and be baptized and you SHAL recieve the gift of the BAPTISM in the Holy spirit. As Jesus said ...you will recieve power when the Holy Spirit comes over you.

Ephesians 2:
8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 - Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The Greek word for works in verse 9 is ergon, which is anything that we do. We are not saved by anything that we do. To say that belief (faith or trust) is a work that we do goes against these verses. We are saved by faith. It's not of works. That literally means that faith is not a work.

I’ve been baptized once as a baby and again as an adult. Neither baptism was required full immersion. Must I be fully immersed in water to be truly baptized?

The thief on the cross was not baptized by water, he confessed his faith in Christ with his mouth, calling him Lord, just as Paul teaches being the component of salvation.

We water baptize as a demonstration to this world, not the next. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is what matters.

Luther held to Faith alone, and saw baptism as the right expression of faith alone; because baptism isn't something we do but God's washing of us, God's work done unto us, AND our children...

Luther, didn't withhold the faith given by the word in baptism to little ones; but recognized that faith is the gift of God and not our contribution.

Those who reject the baptism of babies show their arrogance when they not only think that babies can't believe, but think that they themselves can. Believing isn't something we can do; it is the work of God. God gives us faith in His promise given to us through His sure and certain means.

It's not that babies will get faith after growing older, they are given faith in baptism, their being baptized is faith.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit by God the Father as John 3:1-12 is essential, to be born again of the Spirit, without which no one can go to heaven. Being sanctified by witness of the Holy Spirit.
