Good video and I'm glad you explained all the details of the seat and show recline, etc.

I’ve done that flight twice in Delta One. It’s a great flight.

They no longer allow Delta 1 in the sky lounge just because you bought a delta 1 ticket...you have to have the credit card status like your self

I recently flew from NYC to Tokyo (Haneda) on a 'Delta Premium Select' seat. And sure, while it had multiple levels of 'recline', and the overall seat was capable of going down to a 'low recline' (not exactly 'flat'), I did not find the seat comfortable at all for sleeping (and this was even while using the extra 'pad' they provided, over the entire seat). The angle of the 'sleeping level' recline not only was NOT comfortable, but...the more I set the seat to the recline/sleeping level, the more that the lower half of my torso (feet, shins and most of my thighs) was pushed forward, and into what was more or less a boxed-in area that was under the seat of the person seated in front of me. Honestly, as I watched my lower torso being pushed forward into this boxed-in area, I felt as if the lower half of my body were being put into a coffin. Once I was in that position, the 'roof' of that boxed-in area was maybe 6" over the tops of my legs, and the two sides of the boxed-in area meant that I couldn't move my legs very much, to the right or to the left. And keep in mind, in this position, almost my entire lower torso was in this 'box'.

As someone who is severely claustrophobic, it was not pleasant at all. Also consider that...I am only 5'2" and weigh 105 lbs. Imagine how much tighter this area would feel for a larger person?! I have to say, I was very disappointed, considering that I paid extra money and miles for this seat, and, in the end, I don't feel it provided all that much of a better experience, vs if I had a simple coach seat. And in fact, as I was walking back and forth throughout the plane (to exercise my legs), I observed countless people in coach who were stretched out, sleeping, over three seats. Now as to whether they purchased three consecutive seats, or simply were able to use the seats (because no one else had purchased those seats), I don't know. But I had to wonder if I had been foolish to pay all that extra money, and use all those miles, for the Premium Select 'upgrade'.

Also, while the Premium Select seats were more or less 'private' seats surrounded by private cubicle-like walls, I could have foregone the extra privacy. It really was meaningless to me. The most important thing I was looking for was a seat that was comfortable enough to sleep in. And in this respect, the Premium Select seat did NOT deliver for me.

Next time, I may try Delta One, even though that means even MORE money/miles.

Those are the old Delta One seats, they just got reupholstered. The new ones are less exposed and look like the A350 ones sans door. Thx for the review!

Those are the old seats in Delta One. They are on the 767-300’s. They are the worst among all the different Delta One seats Delta offers.

I noticed you sat in last row of Premium Select. Were you still able to fully recline ? Thanks for the review.

Be careful. People getting messed up bad, with those surf boards. Hawaii would lose money informing people about dangers of surfing.

Great video ! In just about every premium select review I have seen, it's recommended that getting a bulkhead seat is very important. Yes , it's great the recline is better in premium, but if the person in front of you reclines all the way, you are going to be quite miserable, and you are actually trapped into you seat and can't get up. It's happened to me in economy, and since the recline is further in premium, it's even worse. Yes, I guess people have the right to recline all the way, and while my personal opinion is they are selfish assholes, the path of least resistance is the bulkhead set.

The second meal looked like dog throw up. Why can't the airlines serve lighter healthier food?
