Collin Morikawa shoots 8-under 63 | Round 2 | TOUR Championship

In the second round of the 2024 TOUR Championship, Collin Morikawa carded an 8-under 63, finishing the day at 17-under for the tournament, good enough to sit in solo-second place, four strokes behind Scottie Scheffler heading into the weekend.


The final leg of the three-event FedExCup Playoffs series arrives as a restored East Lake Golf Club hosts the TOUR Championship. A field of 30 players battles it out in this no-cut finale for the biggest prize on TOUR. Scottie Scheffler once again heads to East Lake ranked No. 1 in the FedExCup Standings after a fabulous 2024 campaign that includes six TOUR victories and a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. This is the third straight year Scheffler enters the season finale ranked No. 1, and he’ll start two shots ahead of the pack heading into the first round. Xander Schauffele has also had a great season, claiming two major titles. The American finished T2 and T5 in recent years at East Lake and sits two shots back of Scheffler. Hideki Matsuyama also eyes his chances in Georgia this week. He won the first Playoffs event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship but withdrew from the BMW Championship last week due to a back injury. He claimed the bronze medal at the Olympics, as well as victory at The Genesis Invitational earlier this year. Others to look out for are Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg and Viktor Hovland.

There was a golfer who was 12 shots back who won so you never know in this tournament who necessarily will win! Yes the golfer who is #1 starts out 10 shots a head but also realize he also has to play good so these other golfers don’t catch up with him! The #1 player deserves these points these other players should play better during the year! Morikawa is playing well but I noticed in one of his interviews he was chewing gum & it’s hard understanding someone when they’re chewing gum! Also when Morikawa smiles he looks like the Joker in the Movie Batman! Wow what a smile!
