I knew a guy in high school (20 year old senior) who once said this line to the art teacher (24). I think he meant it as a joke, to be funny, but she didn't appreciate it. Not that I blame her; it did sound sarcastic and rude. He seemed rather immature, and he was 20 in high school. Some people just delay growing up.
