In part 2, Pete talks about gear and how he produces records. He leads off by pulling out his 59 Esquire, and the parts guitar that he uses for sessions and club gigs. Anderson also goes in-depth on how he handles pre-production on an album, and the process he goes through in both tracking and overdubbing on a project. We also get useful insight on eq for guitars, and how to help your guitar sit in the mix better.

Pete reminds me of Guthrie Trapp in that they're both just such forces of nature. knowledge and wisdom just spew uncontollably from them. what a great set of interviews, here, Zac. thank you as always

When I saw the announcement of a “Part Two” I thought, “it will probably be about 20 minutes or so that they just couldn’t squeeze into the first video.” I had the biggest smile on my face when I opened the video and saw it was over an hour and a half. Thank you Zac for the incredible work!

I played bass with Pete in his blues band for a few years. He always had us in stitches. By that time I had been playing bass for 30 years, recording and touring around the world, BA in music theory. But still learned a ton about music from Pete.

I’m not into country music but this has been such an awesome education. Brilliant interview- thanks so much! Edit: I do wish We could’ve seen Pete’s hand though. Oh, one last thing, Andy Wood seems to be the next generation of guitarists fluent in pedal steel style guitar playing - and beyond.

One of the best guitar interviews for this style of music I’ve ever heard.

Great couple of interviews with Pete Anderson. I got such a different impression of him from these in-depth interviews than from the bits and pieces picked up elsewhere. Great job, fascinating guy.

Hi Zac, I think you outdid yourself with this one . What a wrap up of one of the best .Talking about his life, times, guitars .And that wasn't before he was also producing . I'd love to sit down and have a cup of coffee with him.Great interview thanks Zac. 🎸

I could listen to Pete talk all day long!! Such a great player and producer. Love you Pete, one of the reasons I started attempting to play the Telecaster in 1993 in addition to Buck, Don, and James B, and Merle.

Two great interviews with Pete, his studio experience resonates with me and brings to mind a saying we have here in the UK " piss poor planning perpetuates piss poor performance " . Keep them coming

I'm no guitar geek but this two parter made for fascinating viewing. It's really sad that Pete and Dwight haven't spoken since the split. They are both outstanding talents who are so passionate about their art. All it would take is a phone call ... I hope neither live to regret it.
