Would chains be more efficient than fences? It'd take more resources, so it probably wouldn't be worth it, but I feel like it could help.
Also, what about trapdoors instead of slabs?

Something interesting for the MBE series might be a some machines that help build large farms such as this. I don't think it would be too difficult to make a flying machine that places in those slab platforms, for instance.

How did you prevent the fences from touching the glass?

Per 1.17, all the fence posts can be exchanged with chains (since they don't link sideways)

Really recommend setting up a jump boost beacon to build this, its nice being able to jump on the fences with no effort
