Показать описание
Scatter plot is the basic tool to explore the relationship between two variables and is made before applying correlation and regression. It is sued to see the strength and direction of relationship and other than this it is also used to find outliers or influential points in data that has immense effect on disturbing the results of correlation and regression. But it is very important when a third variable is effecting the relationship between the two variables and that variable is a categorical variable. So, an analyst may want to explore the relationship between two variables according to the categories of a third variable. For example, how the "hours spent on internet and scores obtained in exam" are related for male and female students? To view this, we can make a scatter plot using all the data points but different colors for the points that belongs to male and female students. But in Excel, this is not easy as we have to use some other tricks to make it happen. This video will teach you all the techniques to make it and then adding trendlines in the graph.
