Cost of capital was kept suppressed for over a decade to historical minimal rates. Debt expanded relentlessly and an "everything bubble" was built up. Now or over the next one or two or three years it has to burst. Because of several factors of global disruption such as the pandemic the war etc. it might happen sooner rather than later.
