WOW!!!! from 1 1/2 hours to 39 If that is not major improvement I don't know what is. They looked pretty excited anyway:)

It's a great idea but I doubt that setup will handle the abuse it sees day to day. As simple as it is, the Army will find a way to complicate it and make it 50x more expensive.

well you still have to release track tension and then pump grease in after you put back on the end connectors and the center guide

39 seconds, on even terrain. I like it, but durability is always an issue with military....NVM! Army equipment. Forgot the jar heads gave up tanks... Anyway. We already have hydraulic end connector pullers, which are notorious for blowing a seal on the first use. Currently, hand cranking the track jacks is a last resort. As stated above, we have an electric impact gun. This seems interesting, but I'd like to see it perform. Is it fielding anywhere?

Thanks bro, now I know how to replace a track link on my Abrams!

A battery powered impact drill would have also sped up the job, dramatically. Why in the world was that one guy using a crescent wrench??

We ( Bogert Group) didn't know that track work was a problem. ?The National Guard came to us and asked us to come up with a faster, easier way. The hydraulic track jack was our approach. We took steps to protect the hydraulics. None were ever sold to the Army or the National Guard. AS far as I know, the mechanical jack is still the only jack used.

The old "slow" tool is more reliable and you can't pop a seal or a hose in middle of nowhere on it...
You can wrench faster too..

We... usually just use an electric Impact Gun that plugs into the NATO plug in the drivers compartment.... it's not perfect, but if the impact gun does break, you just whip out a socket and a ratcheting wrench. also, the impact gun is used on any bolt, really. this is unnecessary.

That’s why I like the 1/2in impact gun running off the compressor of the contact truck, the electrical impact running off the slave port of the tank, 88, or FRS

It's a great idea, but will the hydraulic track jacks be available when you need it in the field? Hydraulic track jacks were around back in 1979 when I got into tanks. The trouble was you never saw one in the field. We had to rely on mechanical track jacks.
It's a great idea if there put where the crews need them, not lined up on a shelf to look pretty for inspection.

Since when do we use track jacks with our legs underneath the track? Real safe.

Great for the motor pool. How would it work in the field in 2 feet of mud

These are available now and have been delivered to the Austrailian Defence Force, TACOM, General Dynamics and others. Soon, we will have an hydraulic end cap puller.

The army won’t buy it or the crews will break it haha.

Bruh just get the impact gun why screw around with the ratchet or t slide or a hydraulic track jack for that matter. The end connector pullers leak all the time this thing will too😂😂
