I AM GOING TO THROW THIS TAPE DISPENSER!!! I just love how the video goes straight from pulling the tape down to taping the box!!! I KNOW HOW TO TAPE THE BOX that’s not the problem!!! How about step 2 of where the tape disappeared to?? 😭😣😫

This video is about as useful as the tape gun itself. Blades don't extend far enough to cut the tape effectively. I've used tape guns before, so inexperience isn't the culprit. The problem, in my opinion, is that they tried improving on a design that wasn't broken. Now there are too many moving parts that get in the way of the product working correctly. When I prop the blades so that they're fixed, they work better. The safety feature keeping the blades "sheathed" is actually the crux of this product. Terrible dispenser, trashed it two hours after I bought it.

This tape dispenser has some real issues. It's easy to load but the metal tab that holds the tape against the roller is constantly getting stuck to the tape. Wish I had looked at some online reviews before I bought it. Seems to be a very common issue for many people.

I have never thumbed down a video before, so congrats on breaking me scotch. Making me watch a 30 second ad to get to the completely useless 15 second clip made the experience extra special. For what it's worth, this tape dispenser is actually quite nice once you figure it out - the key thing to know is that pressing down on the clear shield lifts the teeth to cut the tape. I like this design, and I believe it will help keep the teeth sharp. It is a shame that this feature is not obvious, and that they didn't take the time to show it in this video. I hope this helps somebody!

I have this exact dispenser and the tape is put on correctly. It doesn't work. The tape just goes and goes. It does not get cut any. Maybe you have to lean on the plastic piece on the top. I will try that next time I need it. No one explains about that part.

Bought this from home Depot. And realized the blade does not cut the tape doesn't matter how you angle it. I thought I'm just not smart enough to figure it out before reading all the comments. Thanks guys, you made me feel better. Lol trash product.

When you go to Settings --> Playback speed --> 0.25 you can just about see how to load the tape. What a rubbish video!
