what i love about this other than this being an art masterpiece is that you drew it exactly how the story goes in the song- a woman talking talking about her ex-girlfriend who married a man. theres no changing it to straight version or whatever

The dude just peacefully sleeping there as we are hit with the "nothing more than his wife" actually made me kind of feel bad for him for the first time in months of listening to this song. Like, being in this committed relationship with someone who's possibly still more than a little hung up on someone who is inherently offering something you can never offer? Ouch. Worse yet, he is quite literally asleep, blissfully ignorant to the reality of his wife's feelings. How would he feel if he knew? We'll never find out because she'll never tell him because she is trying to stop the feeling. Thanks for giving me a whole new angle to look at this song from, second time today ironically after this was kickstarted by me finding that one cover someone did where the lyrics and tone are changed to reflect the other girl's side of the song. Just wonderful, so much more to explore with an already great song just on it's own merit!
