A new report commissioned by HSBC has been released which reveals the future sounds and languages of British cities in 2066.

The report, written by Dr Dominic Watt, a Sociolinguistics Expert from the University of York, reveals that in 50 years’ time, the keyboard will become obsolete as speech becomes our main way of interacting with machines, impacting the way we talk. Just like Prince George is expected to speak differently to the Queen, language and dialect will mutate and vary from how it sounds today.

It details how we will see a loss of traditional accents and a rise of new urban dialects in cities like Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.
