The paracord is tied to the bow in which the spindle is made to rotate rapidly on the baseboard/fireboard to create a wood dust fire by continuous friction.

WOW, I have never seen anyone use a bow drill set this compact. Good work. One question, please. You appeared to transfer the ember to the tinder bundle very quickly. Normally, we wait a short time ( up to one minute or a little longer) for the ember to coalesce. Do your materials force you to make the transfer so quickly? It worked well so either way, we declare "why mess with success." Two of your videos and I feel compelled to press that subscribe button.
