The song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks and number one in Finland and South Africa, and charted in the top 10 of many European charts as well as Australia (#5) and New Zealand (#5).

Just like with Debbie Harry two years prior, when 11-year-old me saw Kim Wilde for the first time, performing this song on the German TV music show Musikladen, I again sensed that there's _more_ to girls than them just being silly and annoying 😅
