Whenever I have a soap that is pleasant but not exactly what I'm looking for, I see if I can mix it with something else to make something I like better. I bet half a scoop of this would go really well with a half scoop of Ciderhouse Five, Immortal Peach, or even Cosmic Christmas Cookies.

That's a cool razor. I could see how it retains and releases water while you were using it. I drive through the town where the razor it's based on was made on my commute, but I've never found one at any antique stores.

It's a shame that the soap doesn't smell the way you expected. I feel like that happens to me about a third of the time unfortunately. I guess reading the description doesn't really help me figure out if I'd like something. I also have a soap that is very weakly scented that I need to ask about. It seems like it has to be a bad batch because it smells like basically nothing. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. Have a good day!

A helpful tip on checking the Artifact blade alignment. I need to pull mine out for another shave. As I recall, I had no issues with my earlier shaves. My SOTD was an all-Stirling MITA using my 6S with a Nacet (3rd use) blade. The menthol definitely starts the day with a kick. Have a great week.

I bought my PAA Artifact just for the novelty due to the Bakelite material, as my first factory job back in the day was a plastics molding company and we used a lot of it. I only shaved once with it and it was okay, but it's just too light for me as I prefer the PAA S.S. Ascension Twist DOC that has a nice heft. I also like a good tobacco scented soap and aftershave.

I get the same type of blade mis-alignment issue with my Fatip razor, the alignment pins are not tight fits and I spend a few minutes getting it right before I shave with it. I'm not into "boozy" scents so won't be getting that soap. Nice clean shave once again Matthew! Take care Buddy!👍🤠
