I agree about Pop. He may make a full recovery, but that doesn’t mean he should keep coaching. He doesn’t need the stress. Maybe they can create a new position - Head Coach Emeritus - where he can stay off the bench and just participate in low-stress activities like teaching and game planning.

Agree with you on Pop.
Touched by several strokes these past three years (thanks to the covid), I can certify that it is very difficult to get back from them even when you are not more than 75 years old. In general you need between 6 months and one year to regenerate your energy after the stroke.
In order to explain what you feel after a stoke, I am using the term "post-traumatic choc" which lasts several months.
Pop won't be able to come back in two weeks just as nothing happens. He will need some time to get back (it can be counted more in months than in weeks).

Pop should now retire and spend time with his family. It would be better for him to see his grand-children raising in good condition.
42 road games minimum per year is exhausting for his age, the stress to be every two nights on the bench of a competitive NBA team will kill him...
Pop could stay in the organization to give advises to the next Spurs coach.

All we need now is a bruiser PF or center and guaranteed we are playoff team, get bobby portis at all cost, give kj/braham/collins /2030-2031 picks and it will all worth it, let make wemby a kevin duran like, that operates outside, for less injury and long career

Hire Monty Williams before some other team grabs him. He's a player's coach and former Spurs player and coach. He knows Pop's system. At 75yo, I'm betting doctors are saying Pop is done roaming the sidelines.

I voted on your poll that he should take 7+ threes a game, so I feel justified. 😊

Health first. Pop should turn over the keys to see someone else.

Ohhh, Rich, I believe Kendrick Perkins kinda suggested Wemby was overrated and said how when LeBron was his age he was unstoppable. Look who Wemby is above 😏

He's going to have Anthony Davis on him tonight (assuming neither trip walking to the court). We'll see how he does.

Scariest part is that his best spot seems to be ... One meter behind the line. 😶

I told you several times on your channel. A player managing to shoot at 92% at FT over 10 games is an elite shooter. Wemby will become an elite shooter (at 2 and at 3).
Look at Durant. During his rookie season, he shoots at 43% and 29% from 3 while being at 87% at FT. And now ?
Last year, Wemby had a tremoudous progression and finished the season by an extraordinary month of April (lots of experts already put him in the tenth best player of NBA on this month only).
Wemby will have an incredible progression this season too and imagine that you just have seen the worse version of Wemby during these 10 games...

Wemby has still lots of improvements to make : ball handling (in order to drive to the rim more safely), box-out on the defensive rebonds (he is just horrible but manage to take rebounds while not having the prefered position with his length), screens (his screens are far from the best in the league but the Spurs would need to add a vet on the center position for him to learn about it... he won't learn from Zach !!), ...
And the best improvement he could make will be to add the low-post techniques to his skills. And again please bring a Valenciunas in San Antonio to be the backup of Wemby. He would bring a lot of knowledges to Wemby !!

Everybody is talking about his 3-point shootings yesterday but what i really like is that he drives to the rim with aggressivity (managing to get 9 FT). This will be the key of alternation in this plays. If he can drive, his defenders won't defend on his 3-point shootings the same way (and the opposite) ?

Wemby is not a bust, is not Bol Bol but is definitely an alien in the league (a player with no equivalent in the history).
And his mentality is incredible. When asked what he thinks about his performance, he answered that he hopes that this performance will one amongst a lot of others in the shortterm future...
And be delighted, Spurs fans, that Wemby is playing for San Antonio !!!

PS1 : I really like what Castle is producing as a rookie. His stats are not incredible for the moment but he is playing so well that it will come up.
The backcourt with Vassel and Castle in the coming years (CP3 will play this season, perhaps next one but...) should perform well.
The Spurs should draft a very good SF in the 2025 draft in order to complete the team before to target the playoffs. I really like how Champagnie is developping (a very efficient 3&D) but he should be a key role playing guy and not a starter.

PS2 : The 2nd unit with Zach, Keldon and Malaki is " $§£&@&$$£" defensively. I won't say what I think but guess... Fortunately these three players won't be playing for the Spurs in 2026.
