On 23 March, the Lampeter campus hosted festivities to celebrate Lampeter’s significance in the introduction of rugby to Wales.
To mark the occasion, two rugby fixtures were arranged: a Women’s Rugby match between UWTSD and Lampeter Town and a Men’s Rugby match between UWTSD and the Welsh Academicals. A new sculpture was also unveiled outside the Canterbury Building, recognising the importance of UWTSD Lampeter in the history of Welsh rugby.
