How to Save an Image / Photo from Email in iPhone 7,8 iOS 10

Ok here’s how to save an image to your photo album from your email inbox using your iPhone 7. Now iPhone 7 now has 3d touch and when you’re saving an image from your email the 3d touch does make it in my opinion a bit more complicated and I think this is a backward step in the ios10. Apple may bring out an update to address this issue in the future, but for now here is how to save the image in the current version.
Ok, I’ve got the image already open in an email, and to save this, press down on the image with your finger or thumb and while its pressed down press down again a little bit firmer and you should feel another click. This is the 3 touch working and now you should see a small arrow icon on the bottom left. Click on this icon and then you will get the save image icon which will let you save your image to your photo album. And that’s all there is too it. I have over 100 photos someone emailed me from our photoshoot and i do not have the option to Save image but all the other options are there. How do I save image from email?

FWIW after todays 12.1 IOS upgrade-11/10/2018 (not sure what it did before or wouldn't be looking here) on iphone 7+ I just held my thumb on the screen and it changed twice (be patient holding it) and the second time the icon of the box with arrow coming out the top that shows bottom left here 0:59 ("git commie side caw" the bloke sez) is now top right corner to find "Save Image"

I feel like If you have to try it like 4 times before it works, you may not be completely sure how it works.... I’ve been tapping and moving the pic like you did and nothing happens. Eventually something does but it takes like 5 minutes... this Iphone 7 trying to save a pic is ridiculous
