Thx DAVE ! Sarah and Chad too! We have the the same models EV6 as Dave, just in white. I am happy our stste does not require a front license plate, which I think tales away from most EV nice/ aero bumpers.
I have to drive four miles RT on primitive roads as we live in a ranch community. The EV rear spoiler actually keeps the rear window clean! ( Best than any vehicle we had out here ) I pull out the battery power leaf blower and dust the entire car before parking in the garage. Washing about once a month. OH the one time I took the EV 6 through the car wash it would not track through! I had just disengage the Auto Hold feature …. Yes Sarah the car wash dryers did an amazing job to dry the car!
We adjusted our HUD ( love it ) to a position we like ( I am six foot and my wife about six inches shorter)
Don’t you love the 360 aerial view parking aid? I never used the self parallel parking or self drive out and into tight parking spaces feature.
Love the V2L outlet. I use it at events to power devices and used once when we had a morning power failure and I was able to make my wife her morning coffee ( you can’t talk to her before coffee 😉)
I am in an EVA chapter and members take their EVs and illuminate them, beyond the on board Ev lighting at the Holiday Festival Of Lights Parade. I will do something special in 2023 using the convenient V2L outlet for lights and sound…
We never take it out of the Eco mode as it is fast enough for us and we are more about range.
I like the pedestrian sound ! I guess I didn’t expect the back up beeping!
Fast charging is sweet. We mainly charge at home with a Level II charger
I love the half glass roof with the insulated sliding cover inside. I never use those glass roof views and who wants to cool off a hot car ( I am in the SW)
The EV 6 is my wife’s care so I AM Allowed to wash it, charge it and “ If I am good” take to EV events.. until my Aptera Launch Editon arrives!😉

One bad deign is the row of seat heating buttons and cooling buttons that are so close to those controls, you mention in this report. My big hands tend to accidentally activate one of those seat temperature controls 😉 I know… It’s me

I bought my wife a plush KIA Robo Dog ( EV Mascot ) which sits in the EV 6. That was a good move !

Dave, Enjoy your EV rides and we will have to do an Aptera Meet up! Either with my first Launch Edition or future 60 kWh model when I plan cross country trips? I owe Sarah and Chad a coffee+ when I pass through too!

Speaking of cars that let you know how fast they're going, I drive a very worn out Jeep on mud tires. I can tell the speed from the sound of the tires. So can people a quarter mile away. It will be so nice when the Aptera gets here. So quiet and smooth.

Does Dave's Kia have a ceramic treatment? That could explain how dry it was. Love the EV Afterdark idea.

DTL after dark sounds super fun. Just make sure you channel your inner Barry White during the intro, and it should work really well.
