When there is no objective right or wrong and you do whatever your heart desires without restraint, this is the outcome.

I like not having to pay a cent for the care we get, other than taxes. In the states they still wait for treatment for non-urgent care but they pay for everything, in many cases bankrupting folks who cannot afford the insurance as well as insurance providers doing everything they can to weasel out of paying for procedures THEY deem non-essential.

Ya something we constantly struggle with up here in Canada is the wait times in the ER. It can be hours or like half an hour. Right now it is a battle with nurses and doctors having Pandemic fatigue. They brought us through the pandemic working overtime under insane conditions and right now there is no relief for them to lessen hours, duties etc. Many are leaving the field altogether and retiring. Plus we have many newer Canadians from Syria and the ukraine over the past few years. I wouldnt call it a crisis but we are stretched really thin right now. Our politicians need to get in gear and fix the situation.

I had a nosebleed that lasted for 2.5 hours this summer. I went to the ER but it was closed, had to drive to another hospital. There was probably two other separate couples ahead of me. They got my information, pulse, blood pressure, and temp (orally) within about 30 minutes. Saw a Dr in about an hour and a half afterwards, she ordered blood work done. Waited another hour to see a nurse to take my blood, but first had to take my temp again, this time in my rear 😢and she wasn’t gentle about it. Afterwards we had to wait another 6 hours for the doctor to tell me my results. Results were everything was fine. Still wonder why I have been getting hours long nosebleeds for a week. *shrug*. Oh, here’s a number 11 for the list, lots of doctors have quit or retired starting a couple of years ago. My wife, and son both have no doctor, their doctor quit a couple of years ago and still hasn’t been assigned any. She was pretty young too, she must’ve been early 30s when she quit.
