I know it's risky mostly because of ball handling skills but they should pull this more often and imo shouldn't have to report I get why and maybe the coach should be able to notify them of there intentions but shouldn't have to be reported to the opposing team

Fortunately that reffing squad who reffed the Lions vs Cowboys game last year got demoted and couldn’t ref a playoff game. Granted it’s not a lot but it’s something for committing the worst and most objectively wrong call in that situation.
