What's funny about this is the fact that we always seem to forget that Peach, even on her own, is a total badass princess. I honestly think that she LETS Bowser capture her so she can prevent it from happening again. Hence why we haven't seen her being actively captured since 3D World, pre Switch era. Now, she's only been kidnapped once and that obviously didn't work in Bowsers favor. So, like in 3D World, he's just looking for a way to just rule the world.
