Windows 10 understand the risks of enabling SMB 1.0/CIFS.
You might find that smb scan to folder does not work using Windows 10. This is probably because printers/copiers with older firmware use smb version 1 for scan to folder. SMB v 1 is no longer support in Windows 10 because of a security vulnerability used by the WannaCry ransomware and others. If you use the workaround of enabling SMB v 1 you are exposing your network to this type of ransomware. The correct solution is to either upgrade the copier firmware or use FTP instead of SMB protocol.
Windows 10 has a built in FTP server that is enabled by using Windows Features inside the Internet Information Services setting.
Konica makes it impossible to get firmware updates for the general public. Others like Lexmark are not so closed to allowing the public access to current firmware.

So to sum up enabling SMB v 1 is not a good idea.
Especially in a business environment.

Hello, I'm having serious problems getting the scanner to work, due to SMB server communication error.

But printing works fully. In other words, the network is working.

I was informed that it could be some firmware upgrade of the machine, but I didn't find it anywhere (Konica C364). I realize that from device manager the Twain driver does not seem to be installed as there is an unknown device requiring .inf *. Could you help me?

I tried setting everything up as you did but still get an error 4097 (fail to register at PC).

I entered:
- the user name given in the system _pcname_\USERNAME
- my windows login user name

Both with and without the password that I have set on my local PC.

All options lead to the same error report.
