I've never even heard of this song until recently when I heard it with M3gan dancing to it in a video. I instantly loved the sound of this song. I've never paid any attention to Lady Gaga songs before but now I never tire hearing this one of hers. It has an excellent stereo rhythm to it, and she sings it well. The song is about Mary Magdalene that was a witness to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, and actually it's spelled "Pontius" not "Punktious" for Pontius Pilate who was the fifth ruling governor of the Roman province of Judaea that presided over the trial of Jesus.
